The fourth auction personalised number plates

The fourth personalised number plates auction of 2009 is to take place from the 5th until the 7th of August 2009. There will be 1586 registration in the sale, each with its’ own reserve price. The sale has a Formula One theme as it is being held at the RBS Williams F1 Conference Centre. Some of the F1 numbers included are F1 WOW and F1 SLK. Two of the more topical F1 numbers are F1 SPY and F1 MAX. The F1 SPY could be related to the McClaren Ferrari spy scandal when McClaren were caught with secrets stolen relating to the Ferrari race cars from the Maranello factory . The other topical one is F1 MAX and coincides with the announcement that the F1 teams have agreed to stay in the series for 2010 after weeks of conflict with Max Moseley over plans to introduce budget capping to formula one. Max has announced that he will standing down as president of the FIA at the end of the season. The top number on offer is 4 O which follows the sale of 1 O, 2 O and 3 O earlier in the year, they brought bids of one hundred and seventy thousand, one hundred and fifteen thousand and fifty one thousand pounds respectively.
